Getting Here

The easiest way is to fly direct to Larnaca in South Cyprus. It normally takes a 1 hour transfer from Larnaca to Famagusta. The alternative is to fly to Ercan Airport in North Cyprus via Turkey. Ercan is a 45 minutes drive to Famagusta.

Both scheduled and charter flights arrive daily into Larnaca from both London and regional UK airports, with flights taking around 4 hours 15 minutes.  Pegasus Airlines from Stansted and Turkish Airlines from Heathrow, Stansted and Manchester are both good options with 6 hour flight journeys.  With Turkish Airlines you stop over in Turkey so your journey time will be slightly longer.

We can arrange your transfer from the airport to your accommodation either by taxi or a larger people carrier.

Getting About

Buses and minibuses in Northern Cyprus cover the routes between all major towns and larger villages, but they do not go to many of the main tourist attractions. They are a varied mix of old and newer privately owned vehicles. Locally they are known as kombos (from Turkish dolmus). Buses generally run every half an hour with last buses around 7pm.  If buses are not your thing and you don't want to drive whilst on holiday then the next best form of transport is by taxi.  Taxis are reasonably priced for short journeys but can be expensive for day trips out.  Alternatively it is recommended to hire a car if you want to get to see the rest of the island.  Car hire is £25 a day (peak season) and includes insurance.  You can book car hire through us here.
